Journals...

I've selected two journals from my grade 5 students. Please note that they were assigned a free topic for homework.

Korea is about competition, competition, competition.

[BIG TEST]
We've taken all tests. I got 95%. Brian's mom is a congressman. Also my mom is too. My mom said just beat Brian. And I did. So I'm gonna have a new family. A cute puppy, Toipuddle. It's name will be "Maison." I will study harder in next big test, and have another family.

Now this one is just sad. I thought that the young will bring about change in this discriminatory society...

[Should dumb or learning disabled children be allowed to study in regular school?]

These days, alot of people have some bad problems. Dumb or learning disabled children are one example of bad problems. Let's think about studying with dumb friends.
We know that we have to help them, but many problems would happen. When people who are dumb have a quarral, the teacher would punish regular students without condition. And then, they can't be joined with friends. Lately dumb get bullied. The most important problem is not receiving a suitable education. Everyone needs a suitable education. If we study with dumb friends, we can't learn many things, because the teacher will have to be concerned with only that kind of people. Therefore we can't get perfect information from teachers. The class in regular school is for regular students not for dumb kids, so the class there is not right for dumb students.

To be fair, most of the students write wonderful, insightful journals. The funny thing is the two students who wrote these journals are actually best friends. Haha.

Today's smart person is tomorrow's dumb person...well, maybe. Nobody knows everything. There will come a time in everybody's life when they are behind everybody else. Think about that, kid.
